Our Mission
The InGenius Academy is a space where the innate genius in every child has room to explore, blossom, and thrive—through nature immersion, meaningful exploration, nervous system regulation, and the cultivation of the inner capacities that support a flourishing life.
Our Philosophy
We teach the whole child. Mind, body, and heart, woven together as one.
Children here learn to settle their bodies, name what they feel, envision what is possible, and bring their ideas to life. They follow their own curiosity at their own pace, guided by warm adults who ask thoughtful questions and trust children to discover the answers. They spend real time in nature, with their hands in the garden and in meaningful projects, and they grow strong academic foundations through genuine experience.
We see learning as something that happens best when a child feels safe, seen, and free. A calm and regulated guide helps a child feel steady enough to take real risks, and from that steadiness comes confidence, creativity, and a lifelong love of learning.
Our children gain more than knowledge. They gain self-awareness, emotional intelligence, real-world capability, and the deep confidence that they can create a meaningful life.
At InGenius Academy, students are introduced to the lives and teachings of master teachers, healers, heroes, saints, innovators, and courageous way-showers who persevered in bringing their gifts to the world. Figures such as Jesus and many others may arise naturally within our morning lessons as examples of compassion, faith, service, courage, wisdom, and human potential. Students who feel inspired to explore these teachings more deeply are encouraged to study the sacred texts, practices, philosophies, and direct wisdom these individuals left behind — always with curiosity, respect, and personal discernment.
We also believe every child arrives with a unique inner intelligence and natural gifts that deserve to be recognized rather than suppressed. Through age-appropriate modules, students may explore intuition, empathy, imagination, focused intention, energetic awareness, meditation, self-healing practices, the laws of cause and effect, and conscious reality creation. Our purpose is not to tell children what to believe, but to give them a safe, grounded environment in which they can know themselves more deeply, strengthen their discernment, care for their well-being, and confidently bring their authentic gifts into the world.
Meet Our Team

Corey Moon
Founder, Visionary, Director
Corey Moon is the founder and visionary behind InGenius Academy, a Neurosomatic Therapist, embodiment practitioner, wellness coach, educator, and author whose work centers around one fundamental question: What conditions allow human beings to truly flourish?
Corey's approach has always been one of integration. Her curiosity has led her through the study of the physical body and nervous system, human behavior and social-emotional development, consciousness, quantum mechanics, metaphysics, intuition, and the more subtle aspects of human experience. She is especially interested in the places where different ways of understanding meet—science and spirituality, Eastern and Western perspectives, the physical and the subtle, intellectual knowledge and intuitive wisdom. Rather than viewing any one perspective as the whole picture, Corey believes there is tremendous value in exploring where they intersect.
Her vision for education was also shaped by her own experience as a learner. Growing up, traditional education rarely left her feeling challenged, curious, or excited to learn. It wasn't until adulthood—particularly through her Neurosomatic studies—that she discovered how deeply she loved learning when it was meaningful, challenging, relevant, and connected to genuine curiosity. That experience became one of the earliest seeds of InGenius Academy.
Corey believes education should nurture the whole human—mind, body, emotions, creativity, relationships, intuition, individuality, and connection to the world around them—while giving children strong academic foundations and the ability to think critically, explore different perspectives, ask meaningful questions, and develop their own understanding.
At InGenius, her vision is to create an educational model where curiosity becomes a doorway into learning; where nature, real-world experiences, creativity, nervous system awareness, collaboration, and meaningful challenge exist alongside academics; and where children have opportunities to discover their interests, develop their gifts, and recognize themselves as valuable contributors to their communities and the world.
Corey is also the author of Just Beneath the Surface: The Subconscious Roadmap to Higher Self Embodiment, and her work with adults continues to inform her understanding of human development, self-awareness, embodiment, and flourishing.
At the heart of Corey's vision is a simple belief: every child carries an innate genius worth discovering, developing, and sharing. When we create the right conditions around them, education becomes more than preparation for the future—it becomes a lifelong relationship with learning, self-discovery, belonging, and meaningful contribution.

Steven Lopez
Facilitator
From the Ground Up Empowerment
Steven Lopez is a father, husband, mentor, and the founder of From the Ground Up Empowerment. A lifelong student of human development and potential, he's passionate about helping people better understand themselves and develop practical tools for navigating life.
Steven's approach is deeply rooted in his own experience, and fatherhood has given his work even greater purpose. He is passionate about helping young people develop the emotional awareness and self-regulation skills that most people simply don't encounter growing up in modern society.
Steven and his family have been homeschooling for 6 years and have settled in St. Petersburg after traveling the country in an RV, an experience that strengthened his belief that education happens everyday and everywhere through connection and participation in the world around us.
Outside of his work, he's a musician and a gamer who is usually exploring something new.
Through From the Ground Up Empowerment, Steven helps people develop practical tools to regulate themselves, connect meaningfully with others, and to build a life that aligns with their own values.

Mandy Lopez
Facilitator
LifeSchool with Mandy
Mandy Lopez is a devoted mom, wife, artist/designer, homeschool consultant, avid DIYer and longtime hospitality professional who truly believes it's time for humans to take back their POWER, with Love, Knowledge, and Community! She also feels awkward writing about herself in the third person so I'm going to switch to first :)
The idea for LifeSchool with Mandy started after years of homeschooling on the road with my family- meeting and mixing with homeschoolers in big cities and small mountain towns and everything between- and I learned that there is not one "right way" to learn, live, raise your kids- and yet we're all herded through the same path and "corrected" when we deviate from it. So I made it my mission to show anyone I can, that they can create their own path! That the goal is to raise happy, healthy, capable adults, not perfect students!
With over 22 years of hospitality experience (including every restaurant position possible up to general management, opening staff with 5 successful restaurants, event management, cooking and mixology, and much more), a degree in Creative Writing, and a lifetime of gaining handy skills just to prove the belief that I can learn to do anything MYSELF, I have many usable skills to teach your kids! But more of what you can expect in a class with me is-
That I will talk to your kids like they are real people
I will encourage individuality, independence and thinking outside the box
A flexible syllabus to be guided and molded by each learner
They will leave with real life skills they can take to the real world and actually use
A relaxed, inclusive, low stress, high positivity environment that inspires creativity and friendship! No tolerance for no fun!
Well that's it I think- thanks for reading my whole bio! I'm so excited to be part of your community and support your homeschool journey.
