Student Life
A Day at The InGenius Academy
Our days move in a natural rhythm that helps children feel safe, focused, and free. The shape stays the same so children feel held by it, and what happens inside it grows with their curiosity.
Our Week
We meet Monday through Thursday, from 8:00 in the morning to 1:00 in the afternoon. Classes begin September 14, 2026.
Monday through Thursday afternoons hold a little something extra. We bring in enriching workshops, engaging lessons, and special guests — art, music, theater, yoga, building, movement, and more time in the garden.

Daily Schedule
A gentle rhythm that grounds and inspires.
Arrival
Drop off begins, and children settle gently into the space and into the morning.
SEED — Morning Circle
We gather as one. A time to arrive in our bodies and with each other — to settle our nervous systems, connect, and set the tone for the day ahead.
Caring for Our Space & Preparing Our Shared Meal
We come together in the meaningful work of caring for our community. Together we prep for lunch — often cooking something nourishing as a group, like a big pot of lentils made side by side — and we sweep and wash dishes. Children gain responsibility, belonging, and the quiet pride of contributing to a space that is truly theirs.
The Garden
Hands in the soil. Children plant, tend, and harvest our garden, gaining a real relationship with the living world and with where their food comes from.
Free Exploration
Time to explore, imagine, and play. This is where curiosity leads, where children follow what lights them up, and where so much of their genius comes out to play.
Lunch
We share the meal we prepared together, and we slow down to nourish our bodies and enjoy each other's company.
Mastermind Circle
We end by dreaming together. We sing and share music, explore ideas, and imagine out loud. Children learn to support their friends in anchoring their own dreams, and they begin to discover how to build worlds together. It is our favorite way to send everyone home, full and inspired.
More Than a Schedule
A Day of Human Flourishing
At InGenius Academy, every part of the day is intentionally designed to cultivate the conditions where children can flourish. Rather than separating learning from living, we weave academics, movement, creativity, nature, relationships, and meaningful work into one integrated experience. Every conversation, project, challenge, and discovery becomes an opportunity to develop the capacities that support a thriving life.
No two days look exactly the same, but each day follows a natural rhythm that invites children to become more curious, connected, creative, and fully themselves.
We Begin by Coming Home to Ourselves
Our mornings begin by creating the conditions for learning to unfold. Through movement, breathing, mindfulness, nervous system regulation, and community connection, students gently transition into the day with presence and intention. Morning circles create space for gratitude, reflection, meaningful conversation, and setting intentions together as a learning community. We believe a regulated body, an open heart, and a curious mind create the foundation upon which meaningful learning can grow.
Learning From Life
Children spend meaningful time immersed in nature because we believe the natural world is one of our greatest teachers. Whether tending the garden, observing seasonal changes, exploring local ecosystems, caring for living things, or simply wondering beneath the trees, students learn through direct experience. Nature cultivates observation, patience, resilience, stewardship, and awe—qualities that cannot be fully learned from a textbook.
Capacity-Expanded Learning
Throughout the day, students engage in interdisciplinary learning experiences that integrate literacy, mathematics, science, history, communication, creativity, and critical thinking with real-world application. Rather than learning isolated subjects, students investigate meaningful questions, solve authentic problems, and connect ideas across disciplines. As knowledge expands, so do the human capacities that allow children to think critically, collaborate effectively, communicate with confidence, adapt creatively, and approach challenges with resilience. Learning is not simply measured by what students know. It is reflected in who they are becoming.
Create & Build
Every child carries ideas capable of becoming meaningful contributions. Students are invited to imagine, design, build, experiment, invent, write, create, and bring their ideas into the world through long-term passion projects and collaborative innovation. Whether developing a business, designing an invention, composing music, restoring habitat, creating artwork, writing stories, or serving their community, students experience the joy of transforming inspiration into reality. Because the deepest learning often happens through creating something that matters.
Community in Action
We believe flourishing happens together. Throughout the day, students prepare meals, care for shared spaces, resolve conflicts with compassion, collaborate across ages, celebrate one another's successes, and practice leadership through everyday moments. These experiences cultivate empathy, responsibility, communication, stewardship, and a deep sense of belonging. Children learn that community is not simply something we participate in. It is something we actively create.
Reflection & Integration
Before each day comes to a close, students pause to reflect. What did I discover? How did I grow? What challenged me? How did I contribute? What am I becoming? Reflection transforms experience into wisdom. Students leave each day carrying not only new knowledge, but a deeper understanding of themselves, their relationships, and their place within the world.
At InGenius Academy, education is not simply preparation for life. It is the daily practice of living well. Because when we intentionally cultivate the conditions for human flourishing, children naturally begin to flourish. And from that place, learning becomes alive.

Afternoon Enrichment
Monday through Thursday afternoons we open the day even wider with extracurricular workshops and special guests. Art, music, theater, yoga, building, movement, and more time in the garden.
Children also learn from inspiring members of our community — from local heroes and entrepreneurs to healing arts practitioners and nutritionists — gaining new skills, new passions, and a real sense of possibility.
Our Curriculum
We weave strong academics together with nature, creativity, emotional intelligence, and real-world skills. Children gain genuine reading, writing, math, science, and history through immersive, hands-on experience, alongside the inner skills that help them thrive — like settling their nervous systems, understanding their emotions, imagining possibility, and bringing their ideas to life.
Learning is child-led and guided through thoughtful questions, so children grow into confident thinkers who trust their own minds and love to learn.
Field Trips & Adventures
Four times a year — once each quarter — we take our learning out into the world. We explore farms, visit the zoo and the aquarium, discover new parks, and venture to the places our children dream of seeing.
Every adventure is chosen to deepen our children's connection to the living world around them and to spark new curiosity, wonder, and joy.

How We Hold Big Emotions
At The InGenius Academy, feelings are never something to hide, fix, or hurry past. We believe big emotions are energy and information, and when a child is met with safety instead of shame, that energy becomes some of the most creative fuel they have.
When a strong feeling rises, we do not punish it or push it away. We help the child notice it, name it, and feel it all the way through, with a calm and caring guide beside them. A regulated adult helps a child's nervous system settle, and from that steadiness, the child finds their way back to themselves.
We weave social and emotional learning through our days, so our Geniuses grow a real vocabulary for their inner world and genuine skill in understanding themselves and others. We keep a quiet meditation corner, a soft and welcoming space where a child can go to breathe, rest, and return to calm whenever they need it.
This is how children learn that every emotion belongs, that they are never too much, and that even their hardest feelings can become a doorway to growth, connection, and creation.
